How can I get involved

  • Answering a few questions
  • Joining a group reviewing a service or issue
  • Planning the work of the LINk
  • Visiting services such as hospitals or day centres
  • Practical help – like delivering notices, designing or writing newsletters, asking people about their experiences, providing refreshments for an activity – and a lot more.

Can I become a member as an individual if I don’t represent a group or community?

  • Yes – you can be involved as an individual or as a representative of a community organisation

If I become a member, do I have to commit to several years to LINk Southwark?

  • No – you can be involved for as little as a few minutes, working on a single issue or for a long time

Do I have to know all about the health service or social services?

  • No – you can just share your experiences for a survey, or say what you think about a proposal

Will I get training?

  • Yes – If you take part in a Task Group or another LINk activity we will give you the training you need
